DISASTERS: At times of natural and man-made disasters we collaborate with local fire departments, indigenous service clubs, Churches, Temples and Mosques to provide guidance for our response teams and to receive and distribute bulk relief supplies in their respective local comminutes.

Lakhena "Lucky" Chhuon

As a young girl of 4, Lakhena Chhuon began her journey to America by walking across the Cambodian Killing Fields with her family to the refugee camps in Thailand. In conjunction with United Cambodian Community (UCC) she has created the CAMBODIAN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT program--an educational course that gives young people first-hand experience with Cambodian culture and traditions. In addition, the program develops both teamwork and leadership skills while providing humanitarian services, the donation of goods, and classroom assistance to Cambodian English teachers.


Country Coordinator, El Salvador

Cristina Amaya

Cristina has coordinated RTF's activities in Salvador for over 15 years. On an average of twice a month Cristina leads local RTF volunteer dentist teams into rural mountain communities and urban slums serving those so very much in need. Her RTF El Salvador teams typically include eye examinations, barbers , beauticians and often clowns. Cristina manages the onerous logistics of receiving containers of donated medicines relief goods - often valued in millions of dollars. Cristina and her team clears customs and then off-loads the cargo at her warehouse and then distribute the supplies far-and-wide throughout El Salvador.


Country Coordinator, Cambodia

Channy Srey

Mr. Channy Srey is a survivor of the Cambodian Killing Fields. As RTF's country coordinator he does the detail work of procuring exemptions and customs clearances for incoming ocean freight containers of donated pharmaceuticals and general relief supplies. Channy also coordinates our local volunteer dental teams and works oversees RTF's water filter projects in Cambodia.

Ron graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1978 and became and remains a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, and its Business, Estate Planning and Intellectual Property sections.
